Bug Buddies: Garden Guardians
May 4 @ 11:00 am - 12:15 pm
Join us for a fascinating dive into the world of Garden Guardians as we spotlight two tiny but mighty creatures: ladybugs and aphids! Our Bug Buddies Program is back this spring to teach kids and families about the incredible role these insects play in our ecosystem.
Did you know that ladybugs are nature’s pest control experts? These colorful beetles are voracious predators of aphids, protecting plants and helping gardens thrive. Meanwhile, aphids, though often seen as pests, are an essential part of the food web. During this hands-on program, you’ll learn how these bugs interact, why they’re important, and how to create a garden that welcomes beneficial insects.
Classes will take place both outdoors (weather permitting) and indoors. All classes are hands-on, exploratory, and include a related activity.
Recommended for ages 3-10 years old, but all are welcome. One parent or guardian must remain with child(ren) at all times, this is not a drop-off program.
