Corn Fest

We’re hosting an all-new Corn Fest to celebrate the grand opening of the 2024 Amazing Maize Maze sponsored by Con Edison!

The event will be jam packed with a-maize-ing activities, games, and food that will delight visitors of all ages. A special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Queens Farm staff, special guests and sponsor Con Edison will kick off the festivities. The maze will be open for its first explorers with ticketed access; festival activities are free. This event takes place on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 from 11am–4pm.

The fun includes:

  • Amazing Maize Maze ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30am with Queens Farm staff, sponsor Con Edison, and special guests
  • Games and activities including Cornhole, Corn Husking, Sack Races and a Corny Scavenger Hunt
  • DJ Malik Work will be spinnin’ tunes for a corn-tastic dance party
  • Tap your feet to live Square Dancing sessions called by Jim Emory (starts 12pm)
  • Ear-resistible local food drink vendors serving up corn-themed favorites (for purchase)
  • Barrier Brewing will be slinging suds for guests 21 and up (for purchase)
  • Craft Vendors with unique artisanal offerings (for purchase)
  • Colonial cornbread tastings and recipes during Adriance Farmhouse Tours
  • Corn Talk Table where guests can learn fascinating facts about corn, explore the history of Native American gem corn and make beautiful corn mosaics
  • Craft your own corn husk wreath in the Education Building (while supplies last)
  • Delicious corn-based recipe demos and tastings at the Farmstand such as Corn Salsa, Corn Relish, and Corn Chowder (hourly, 11:15am–3:15pm)
  • Meet Corny for fun and festive photo ops
  • Apiary Talks with Queens Farm’s Beekeeper, Kathy Scalzo of Backyard Bees, at 12pm, 1pm, and 2pm
  • Hayrides (additional cost; $6/person)
  • Get recycling tips and Adopt-a-Worm at the Con Ed Ecology Booth
  • Fall Mums and plants in the Farm Store/Plant Shop

  • TICKETS:
    • $14 adults; $10 children (ages 4-11)
    • Free for children 3 and under (no ticket required)
