This course is designed to inform and demonstrate all the “shop tricks” in watercolor painting. Queens-based artist Denis Ponsot will provide guidance and live demo tips, tricks and techniques. Beginning and experienced students will learn how to avoid pitfalls and advance their watercolor paintings. We will explore a variety of watercolor techniques with an emphasis on developing one’s own style. Demonstrations of color and design, wet-on-wet and dry brush techniques will be included. Each week, you will receive three photos for you to vote on your favorite, and the image with the most votes becomes the class watercolor project.
This class is 6 sessions long and will take place indoors on the farm’s 47-acre grounds. Sign up for the whole series and receive a discounted rate, or select individual sessions that work for you!
NOTE: A supply list will be provided to registered students prior to the start of the course. This class is open to all interested teenagers ages 16 years and up, as well as adults.
Beginners to experienced artists are welcome.
