Dig in this Spring!

April 22November 6, 2018
& Sun, 10 am4 pm

From spring through fall, individuals (ages 18 & older) are invited to work alongside our farmers in the growing fields every Tuesday and Sunday between 10 am and 4 pm.

There is no need to sign-up or apply; you may drop in for an hour or stay for the whole day, whatever works for you! Just stop by our Welcome Center on your first day, and a staff member will point you in the right direction.

Prepare to get dirty! Tasks are often physically strenuous, so wear proper outdoor work attire (hat, sunglasses, layers, rain gear, gloves, closed-toed shoes, etc.) and pack a water bottle. We invite all volunteers to join us for lunch (we provide a side farm salad whenever possible!).

Please note:

  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
  • We cannot accommodate groups on Volunteer Days at this time.
  • Activities do not include hands-on work with our livestock.

We invite young farmers-in-training to dig in and spend a few hours working alongside our crew in the growing fields. In this special program, kids will start with a fun introductory activity before engaging in a weeding project in our flower or vegetable fields. Prepare to get dirty! Tasks can be physically demanding, so be sure to pack a water bottle and wear proper outdoor work attire (hat, sunglasses, layers, rain gear, gloves, closed-toed shoes, etc.).

Note: Activities on Junior Farmer Volunteer Day will involve working with plants; there will be no work with our livestock. Parents are invited to be on the grounds during the program, but the activities are just for the youth.

This event will be led by Davi Cohen, Volunteer Coordinator at Queens Farm.
