VOLUNTEER IN OUR GROWING FIELDS

April 21November 3, 2020
Tue
& Sun, 10 am4 pm

From spring through fall, individuals (ages 18 & older) are invited to work alongside our farmers in the growing fields every Tuesday and Sunday between 10 am and 4 pm.

There is no need to sign-up or apply; you may drop in for an hour or stay for the whole day, whatever works for you! Just stop by our Welcome Center on your first day, and a staff member will point you in the right direction.

Prepare to get dirty! Tasks are often physically strenuous, so wear proper outdoor work attire (hat, sunglasses, layers, rain gear, gloves, closed-toed shoes, etc.) and pack a water bottle. We ask that you bring your own lunch, but we do provide a farm salad to share when produce is available.

Please note:

  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
  • We cannot accommodate groups on Volunteer Days at this time.
  • Activities do not include hands-on work with our livestock.

We invite young farmers-in-training to dig in and spend a few hours working alongside our crew in the growing fields. Tasks can be physically demanding, so be sure to pack a water bottle and wear proper outdoor work attire (hat, sunglasses, layers, rain gear, gloves, closed-toed shoes, etc.).

CLICK HERE to fill out an application for participation in Junior Farmer Volunteer Day. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and space is limited for this event. We will let all applicants know by May 22, 2020 if we are able to accommodate you at the farm.

Note: Activities on Junior Farmer Volunteer Day will involve working with plants; there will be no work with our livestock. Parents are invited to be on the grounds during the program, but the activities are just for the youth.
